State and federal appeals are a large part of Sharon’s practice. She has handled and been involved in a number of first-impression issues challenging statutes and actions by governmental agencies as unconstitutional.
During law school she trained with the Early Settlement Mediation program. She graduated with honors and earned the Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate. After passing the bar she practiced for over 20 years with the law firm of Riggs, Abney, Neal, Turpen, Orbison & Lewis, P.C.
State and local governmental entities which Sharon has provided legal services to during her career include – Garfield County Criminal Justice Authority; Tulsa County Criminal Justice Authority; Board of County Commissioners for the County of Tulsa; Emergency Medical Services Authority; Tulsa County Industrial Authority; Rogers County Criminal Justice Authority; Mayes County Emergency Services Trust Authority; State of Oklahoma; Hugo Public Schools District; Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office; The Oklahoma State Medical Association; Tulsa County Public Facilities Authority.
