About Thomas M. Askew

Following admission to the Oklahoma Bar Association in Oklahoma in 1990, Tom has developed a broad legal practice. His areas of expertise include Insurance Law, Commercial/Business Litigation, Transportation Law, Public Trust Representation, General Civil Litigation, Construction Law, and Sports Law.

Tom’s significant legal experience includes substantial bench and jury trial experience in the defense and prosecution of claims arising from complex commercial, construction, and energy-related transactions.

Tom’s work at the firm allows him to fulfill his goal of solving our clients’ disputes through a creative, team effort, whether by negotiation, mediation or, when necessary, aggressive litigation. Achieving successful, cost-effective results is his expectation in every case.

In addition to his legal career, Tom is actively involved in his community. He has been a member of the Sand Springs Planning Commission since 2009, served as Vice President of SSYFA from 2008-2017, and has been a Municipal Judge in Sand Springs, Oklahoma since 2007.

 

Representative Experience

Tom has represented many insurers and insureds in claims arising from insurance contracts, including the defense of “bad faith” claims, and in pursuit of recovery through subrogation. He also represents a regional energy company in its various business, litigation and compliance matters throughout the country.
